This study seeks to determine the implementation of TQM in developing the character of students in Islamic boarding schools, namely Pondok Pesantren PMDG Campus 10 Tanjung Jabung Timur, Talwah Al-Munawwaroh Merangin Regency and PKP Al-Hidayah Jambi City, by applying TQM standards to achieve organizational goals. Using a qualitative research approach with descriptive analysis, research results and conclusions that the pesantren is an educational institution that implements character education in an integrated manner throughout the whole process of education and learning. By implementing Total Quality management optimally by applying the management methodology of W. Eleven male students were involved in this research. By doing field note, observation checklist, writing task, and documentation data were collected and analyzed descriptively. The findings indicated that peer feedback could improve students’ descriptive writing seeing that the students were able to work collaboratively with the peer in giving either suggestion or advise during the discussion. As a result, applying peer feedback while teaching descriptive writing did not only provide students basic material for editing or revising, but also stimulate their imaginative power enabling them to have a concept in their mind about what they are going to write. Pesantren functions as a center for the spread of Islam, with a concentration of education in shaping Muslim people with a high understanding of three main problems, namely God, humans, and nature. Regarding its function as an educational institution, the aim of the Pesantren is to form individuals who excel in the field of understanding and practicing Islamic teachings for students or students in their daily lives. therefore it is necessary to have a good management of Pesantren in the development of Islamic religious education. Therefore, through this paper, the author wants to reveal how good management of Islamic boarding schools is in the development of Islamic religious education in the regional office of the Ministry of Religion of Jambi province. To obtain data that supports this article, the author uses a qualitative-naturalistic approach. Through this qualitative approach, it is hoped that a picture of the quality, social reality and perceptions of the research objectives will be exposed without being contaminated by formal measurements. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. We collected data through interviews, observations, and documents. In the aspect of education, socio-economics and leadership in Brunei Darussalam embody Islam that is Rahmatan lil alamin according to the explanation we have conveyed. Education in Brunei Darussalam is characterized by the dominance of Islamic Religious Education which is specifically managed by Kesultanana in the Haji Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation (YSHHB) as well as at the tertiary level such as at UBD (Universiti Brunei Darussalam), KUPU (Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama) Seri Begawan and UNISSA (Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University).<br />The Sultanate government as fully responsible for the education process also integrates Islamic religious education with science, where according to the teachings in the Qur'an and Hadith, all have a connection and are beneficial to humans. Likewise with progress in the economic sector, where the State of Brunei Darussalam is a producer of oil and gas in Southeast Asia and even globally, which supports the welfare of its people. This type of research was field research using a qualitative approach. Sources of data for this study were taken from data collection methods such as: first, direct observation or observation several times. Second, interviews with boarding school leaders, administrators, teachers, students, and residents around the boarding school. Third, documentation taken from field research studies with various related information.
